Emery Secondary School is a high school in Emeryville, California, USA for 7th through 12th grades. It is part of the Emery Unified School District. The school has an enrollment of around 400 students.[1] Emery Secondary School was formerly Emery High School but, after the closure of Emery Middle School, it became a secondary school with the addition of the 7th and 8th grades.The school will close in 2013 and be replaced by a new K-12 school.[2]

The school competes in the Bay Counties League - East.[3] At the 2003 National Chess Education Association tournament in Anaheim, the Emery Chess Club secured first place in the 8th, 11th and 12th grade categories.[4]
Emeryville Center for Community Life k-12 school is planned to replace the current Emery Secondary School and will lead to the school closing in 2013 or '14 with construction on the new school to start in summer of 2014. Current plans call for the 7th and 8th graders to be housed at the Anna Yates School site. The 9th to 12th graders will be housed at the Ralph Hawley School site, or another site to be determined.[5]
